Motorhomes & Campervans

We’ve been motorhoming since 2012 and quoting one of our visitor reviews “Jon & Clare really understand what an Aire should have and they have got it just right. The facilities are outstanding; the pizzas are wonderful and the cafe shed is a joy”. We opened the first dedicated Motorhome Aire in Orkney back in 2021 and are delighted that we’ve been joined by a second Aire in Orkney, Peedie Farm Motorhome Stopover in Rousay. We have hardstanding for five motorhomes along with black and grey waste emptying facilities, a fresh water filling point and five electric hook-ups.

Our stunning location has panoramic views out to sea on three sides, looking out to Eday, Rousay, Egilsay, Westray, Papa Westray, North Ronaldsay & Mainland Orkney and we are just a 500m walk to the beach at Roos Wick bay. Our small cafe & pizzeria is open all week for the summer season (April – September) and Thurdays out of season (November – March), serving drinks, cakes, bakes and wood-fired pizzas.

We allow motorhomes of all sizes, although due to the size of our island roads, vans over 9m will struggle to access the beaches, beauty spots and other island facilities. We have one family shower room for use by campervans and motorhomes, it has a large shower, sink and loo (please note this is shared with the cafe Monday to Friday). We are not a campsite, so we do not have a washing up area or campers kitchen.

Please DO NOT come loaded with food and drink! We have two extremely well stocked island shops who rely on our regular business to survive. Please support them by purchasing food, drink, souvenirs and fuel (diesel and petrol). Calor gas bottles can be exchanged at the garage in Burness, just down the road from us.

We offer free superfast wi-fi to all pitches from a local Orkney supplier, Norsenet. So if the weather isn’t at it’s best when you visit, you’ll have no problem streaming films or researching your next holiday to the Caribbean! 4G internet coverage is excellent in Sanday through the EE network, all other networks work here too, but not as well as EE.
